Just to point out that these air scoops are important on a standard road RVF as they direct cool air to the front of the air box intake snout. The VFR has a small plastic scoop that directs it in from over the top of the upper radiator.Drunkn Munky wrote:Ok that tyga part is called a tank apron, those 2 holes have nothing to do with breather pipes. RVF snorkels are dummies designed to mimic the RC45 snorkels (that do perform the induction function). Not being picky but I'm right in what I said. On the RVF in standard form there is a rubber seal that sits under the front portion of the frame. This stops any air passing up over the top radiator. This then acts as a sealed area to catch the air that comes in via the air scoops down the front of the fuel tank to the area where the snorkel on the air box lid sits. That is why there is a rubber seal around the front of the tank cover.
