What temp reading is normal/dangerous?

Post by silentRVF » Fri Aug 13, 2010 2:20 pm

Hey guys,
Got an NC35 and riding in traffic, after about 45 minutes the temperature gauge was at about 65-70%. The frame was warm and so was the seat.

When I was riding on the motorway it was at about 15%..

Is it normal to read at about 3/4 of the way between Cold and Hot? Is this dangerous?

It has new coolant in it and there are no leaks.. Is there anything else I could/should do to help the cooling system of the bike?

Cheers

They run hot dude..it is a simple as that.

In town, mine will get very close to red and if I stop for 5 mins then I am in trouble as I have no fan....

once you get moving it will drop no worries...

This ^

Mine in town would run at about 2/3 of the way.

Did just over 100 miles at night there last saturday, barely budged off cold as I just did 70mph or so most of the way. But town driving would be the killer for mine but again it's no worries, they're all like that ;)
