I'll yield to Cammo's opinion, I don't know the slave relay arrangement on a 30. I know mine just delivers a battery positive to the starter hence, slave operation carried out by the starter button, so mine has little there to cause a short.

Start solenoid / Motors could be jammed too.

Tap it a few times with a screwdriver handle.,

Remove the starter motor and see if it spins.

Well sorted it yesterday, turns out it was the rectifier after all. Strange as i could have sworn the other one was ok but as i had a new one anyway i though i'd stick it on and try it. Started first time!

Thanks for all the help though guys, now time to go for a ride...... :grin: :grin:
