Having problems with the front calipers on this Rvf, basically they work very well but are constantly binding on the discs? Right one seems worse. I have stripped the calipers took seals out cleaned everything and refitted but still the same. There is a small amount of pitting on the piston but this is at the top.
Thanks

Re: Rvf brakes binding
Have any of the bikes been standing?
They should free off after a decent ride.
Also... dont' overfill the brake fluid resevoir.. when the fluid gets hot and expands it'll stick the brakes on...

Re: Rvf brakes binding
I had front brake binding problems I couldn't solve no matter what I did.
Bought a brand new master cylinder and all problems gone.
This may not solve your issues, but take a look at the master cylinder also, not just the calipers.

Re: Rvf brakes binding
Thanks for all the replies. It did end up being the master cylinder at fault. Took it apart and gave it a good clean up and brakes work perfectly.
