Overheating on Trackday - Simply too hot or something wrong?

Have you tried running descaler through the coolant system ?

Good call.

If you regularly use it on track in hot weather it's also worthwhile removing the thermostat. From memory it's rated to open at 82C, if your bikes water temp is always over this then then it will just be a restriction in the cooling system.

Give the system a good clean, flush many times, take the thermostat out and it should keep temps pretty good. If not then look at other things like the rad cap etc.
