bikes been sat a weekish with out being started.
rolled it out of shed/garden, and was stubborn to start. normal being sat for a while... or so i thought!
ran the battery flat trying to start it.. loads of coughs, pops, bangs... almost started.. but didnt.
ok so i'll push start the bugger!
in to 2nd gear.. went to roll bike forward and it was resisting like buggery.. with the clutch held in!
last time i felt that was when the starter motor failed and the clutch didnt free up the starter cog (thingy).
have left bike on charge while i am at work, will buy 4 new plugs on my way home and change them.
full tank of fuel before it sat for a week. running fine before hand!
no start this morning!

Re: no start this morning!
4 new plugs in.. still wont start, turning over nicely.
detached fuel pump hose from pump to carbs, pressed button and had a few spurts of fuel!
checked main engine fuse- OK
checked other fuses at front of bike- all ok.

Re: no start this morning!
The thing i always try on top of what youve done is draining the fuel from the float bowls, then trying to fire the bike up again. Obv takes a bit of time on the button till fuel gets through the pump and into the carbs.
Maybe its just me/my bikes ive had, but they seem rather sensitive to old fuel.

When you changed the plugs did you check to see if you had 4 good strong sparks?

Re: no start this morning!
sorted now.
had 2 mates round last night and we all push started the bike. then took it for a quick thrash to clear any crap.
fingers XXed that it starts this morning!
didnt do anything else than listed.
