I used the haynes manual where it says you connect it to a 12v battery, nothing came on.
Will have another go and post back the results.

the vacuum nipple/spigot is on the rear right cylinder as you sit on it, i removed mine last week and did the diaphram less fuel tap to my NC30, the fuel flows better now just have to remember to close the fuel tap when you finish ridding.Neosophist wrote:The breather on the top is exactly what you've said.. a breather.. this vents to the atmosphere so does go no where :)
The tank has two pipes yes... a fuel pipe and vacuumn pipe.. the 'extra' nipple is to let the air move to allow the diaphram to pull.
It sounds like your pipes come off the engine and you have no fuel :D
The other end of the vaccumn tap vaccumn pipe goes to one of the cylinders on the bike.. half way up you have a spigot the pipe connects to, the suction from the pistons opens the diaphram and lets fuel out! :D
I can't remember what cylinder it's on on the NC30 but if you look around you should find it

or you connected the fan switch wire to a 12v battery?
You can either hardwire the fan to a 12v battery
OR
short the fan switch wire to earth

Haha, no worries, thanks any way!
We followed what it said in the haynes, so disconected the switch and earthed it, then hardwired the fan to a 12 v battery. fan didn't budge either time?

Checked again last night, fan deffinately isn't working. New fan time....Since it seems hard to get hold of one is it possible to use an nc24/nc21 fan? I looked on some stockists and they wanted 260 for a new fan....hmm
