NC30 and NC23/29 Cam Gear trainn interchangable?
The cam gear train on my VFR's rear cylinder is on it's way out. I have one from an NC23 engine. Now I am guessing they are probably not interchangeable but thought I'd ask. Ta peeps!

That was my hunch, but thought I'd get it confirmed by the experts.
I need the cam gear train for the rear two cylinders. When I was doing my valve clearances a shim made a break for it, so I removed the gear train to track the bugger down. The upshot of which was discovering the bearing in the gear train had gone. It will spin at high speed, but has a rough spot in it and at low speed if you spin it with ya fingers it locks. So need a replacement. If you have a good one lying about CMS then let me know mate and I'll take it off ya hands.
Cheers...

It's not the lash gear putting tension on it is it?DoktorMandrake wrote:That was my hunch, but thought I'd get it confirmed by the experts.
