RVF 400 Forks

Post by jamesbutler » Mon Jun 14, 2010 7:00 pm

Hi

I was thinking of changing my forks on my RVF to something a bit more special.
There are not that many companies i can find who do forks for the RVF so i was thinking if there any other bikes that have the same fork dimensions as the RVF i know the top diameter is 50mm i'm not sure about the lower diameter
i know i would probably have to change my front wheel as well.

Thank you

Hi,
I think i read a thread on this in this V4 workshop section about someone making fork clamps for different forks.
Do a search for forks or rvf forks and trawl through the hits ;)

Any forks can be made to fit but off the top of my head I can't think of any that will bolt straight in, If there was and it was worth doing belive me someone on here would have already done it.
If it were me that had £££'s to spend on new forks I'd be sending the rvf forks to kias for some gold coating on the tubes and some fancy internals, probably cheaper than grafting on another models forks an let be honest there gunna work a whole lot better aswell.
