fault(electric?)

intermittent fault, starts aND RUNS normally,sometimes as long as 2 weeks, then will just stop as tho keys been turned off,either leave for an hour, or jump with leads and it,ll fire up!!baffled!!ted p.s new battery fitted..

Hi Ted,

are the battery terminals done up tight?

Other than that, check to see if you have trapped wire or something? does it make any difference if you move the steering?

On anything that might have been moved/ knocked while changing the battery.
My negative term came very slightly loose, bike still ran fine but I lost power to the satnav, 2 further turns down and all was well!
Fingers crossed it's a simple fix! :up:

th anks for replies,but it did this before i changed battery,there is some wiring from it having at sometime an alarm,may be this?..but i,m crap with electrics, i got aa out last week, it starts with jump leads, but turns over well on it,s own..baffled, durham!! :? ted
