Ive just bought some nice race style bars (winningbars on ebay - £11.00 posted!!)to replace the standard heavy NC30 ones. The race alluminium tubes are 280mm long, 50mm longer than standard bars!
What length would you peeps recommed? Standard, 280, 250?
Ive noticed alot of race nc30's have left the bars long is this just for improved, quicker/more accurate handling??
I dont want to leave then poking miles through the handlebar clamp hole i think it looks rubbish!
What to do, what to do!!
I hate making these decisions!!! Advice please!!
Also I have 125mm RENTHAL Grips on me bike and ive noticed the throttle grip is 4-5mm longer than the plastic throttle tube so the grip hangs off the end of the tube!!! Is this normal with renthals its corectly butted up to the top tube ridge (throttle unit)??
cheers
Whats the best length for race handle bars

Re: Whats the best length for race handle bars
Best to stick something under the grip overhang or it can grip on the bars and ruin the throttle movement.STYLER wrote:I have 125mm RENTHAL Grips on me bike and ive noticed the throttle grip is 4-5mm longer than the plastic throttle tube so the grip hangs off the end of the tube!!! In the past I've cut a 5mm plastic ring section from an old throttle tube, moved the throttle inboard 5mm (so the grip doesn't hang off the bars) and stuck the platsic ring under the grip.
