Oh, it needs to idle set at 2000+ rpm to stop it cutting out and has no power whatsoever, im surprised if it will reach 50 mph.
Something definitely isnt right. Possibly running really bad fuelling as i havent set the pilot jets yet. Maybe i have set it to be permanently restricted ignition timing as well. lol
NC24 Jetting, apologies in advance !

There not restricted.. Put your spedo back together
That sensor just puts the 'speed' light on at 80km/h.
Not sure if disonnecting it will cause problems. Shouldn't think so but mine are all connected.
Only the NC30 / NC35 were limited to 180k (112mph) (and didn't work above 5500rpm if you disconnected them)
If it's not idling properly, float heights, pilot jets, pilot screws.

Once your certain that your carbs are all 'proper' (Including balancing them.. that'll smooth the idle out)
If your still getting idle problems it's worth while checking over the electrical system.
Reg/Rec / Battery / Earths can manifest themselves as idle problems.
Don't worry, it'll get there soon enough :)

Re: NC24 Jetting, apologies in advance !
The o-rings which seal the pilot screws seem to be missing, the brass washers and springs are present.
Are the o-rings normal rubber o-rings about 2mm thick or thin hard plastic washers 1mm thick ?
I have emailed my local Honda Main Dealer and they dont stock information for japanese import models, does anybody have a part number, microfiche or any information on these o-rings ? Im at a dead end and i only need these to get it running properly.
Are there even supposed to be any in there ?!?

Well to answer my own post incase anybody searches for this in the future, yes the pilot screws have o-rings behind them.
I got a set of 419 from screwfix for £12 and the smallest ones fit, just. It idles okay on 2 turns out but i think i will try 2.5 and see how that goes, might be a bit better.

Didn't I reply to this? I could have sworn I had.
The O-rings are 2mm rubber ones.
They usually ALWAYS get stuck in the carbs when you take the pilot jets out.. you can't even see them in there, but theres a knack with a paperclip to get them out.
I had a set of carbs I was convinced had no o-rings in them but after some farting about I got all 4 out!
