NC21 engine mounts

Post by KiwiNC21 » Thu May 13, 2010 6:26 am

I have just acquired and am installing a "new" powerplant in my NC21. The problem I have is that it has been some months since the extraction of the old motor and although I had all bolts etc all separated(ish) I don't remember where all the spacers go, it seems as though I may have some spare!!!?

If anyone has an NC21 they could look over for me and describe the spacer placement would be a great help. There are 3 different spacer sizes, but not sure if everymount requires one, it doesn't seem that self explanatory even with the engine "in situ", and the microfiches etc are not exactly clear.

Or an NC24, presumably engine mounts etc are the same

Have you forgotten the ones which go behind the engine on the rear mounts ?

It goes without saying you shouldn't have any spare.

Is the NC21 the same mounts as the NC24 ? Mine in the garage is currently without panels and i wouldn't mind taking photos ?

Yeah there the same frame and the moutings are the same..

You shouldn't have any left over.

2 at the back and 2 at the sides.. 2 at the sides top, the lowest front ones don't have any spaces.

I can get you specific details if you can't fathm it out :)

I know I shouldn't have spares but I know that there are a couple of spares floating around which the kids have been kicking around, great!! When I got this other motor the previous owner had made som "legs" to stand it up and these had some spacers on it, that's where the extras came from, problem is, I have odd numbers/sizes.

There are 3 differents size spacers, just need some prompting as to where the larger diameter ones and the deeper/thicker 8mm ones are supposed to go.

I have 2 thick spacers at the rear with the 8mm bolts and 2 large ones at the top mounts with the 10mm bolts.
But it seems there is only room for a spacer on the r/h side at the front mounts, no spacers at bottom/front mounts.

Cheers
