How important is it to continue to use these cooling pipes on the NC29
the reason I ask is I am thinking of fitting a larger rad however it has no spigot for me to attatch the smaller pipes to?

Hi there
You can do away with them but you will have to lean the bike right over to the opposite side of the rad filler neck when you fill the cooling system to get all the air out. You dohave to keep topping it up untill its full & cant get any more in.
The pipes you show are for the air bleed from the high points of the cooling system, These take the trapped air from the high spots ( these are where the pipes are attached) & sending it to the top of the filler neck on the standard rad. As the standard cooling system has a header tank with coolant in it, this will replennish the coolant to the rad when it cools thus topping it up once thae air is bled out.
I did away with them on my race bike so as to have less pipe work cramping up space for other things on it & to also have less options for possible leaks during race use.
Hope that sort of explains it.

The HRC rad full kit simply has a plug for the one coming out of the rad - and you join the two on the head together ....

sweet...I'll do that then.
does it make any diference that the higher and lower inlet/outlets on the back of the rad are opposite...other than the pain of getting the hoses to fit?
