Nc23 shock bolt

Hi all,
I've just finished fitting my 600 shock supplied by GF, very nice too.
Taking off the old one was a nightmare though. The bolt on the linkage that goes through the swing arm was unbelievably tight coming out, might be something to do with it being bent by about 5mm!
Any ideas on how on earth that could happen?
Luckily I managed to clean up the tapped hole in the swing arm and the thread is ok.
I have a spare swing arm that came with the bike and the same bolt on that one is totally solid. Looks like I'll have to take it into work and drill it out. Very odd.....

Before you do anything drastic, soak the bolt in WD40 or any other releasing oil for about a week, squirt a bit on every day. You'll maybe be surprised.

Tried WD for a bit, then heated it up with a blowtorch. Trouble is, the socket is deteriorating. I've already twisted one allen key
Whilst it's quiet in work I'll drill it out when I'm on nights.....

Real common problem this - seized Tri Arm rocker arm swinging arm bolt.

When we service Tri Arms - all suspension is removed and cleaned / regreased.

We use a half inch drive Snap on Air Impact gun with a short air tool spec allen socket to remove the offending bolt.

If that fails and it often does - simply change the swinging arm.

Have sold dozens of swinging arms over the years because of this - they are cheap enough.

Plus customers seem to then weigh in the old ally and recover the cost ...
