NC30 - Instrument Bulb Question?

Post by Growler » Thu Dec 17, 2009 6:43 am

Can anyone tell me what the spec of the instrument bulbs at the back of the rev counter are. One bulbs blown and I wondered if they are a general automotive instrument bulb or special Honda part? Nothing written on the bulb to even start a google search so any help would be good?

Cheers ;)

There 12v 1.7w bulbs.

The top and bottom ones in the speedo are 34908-MB9-871

All the others (7) are 34908-MG9-951

My temp gauge bulb has gone.

Can I get one of these 34908-MG9-951 from say Halfords or Demon Tweeks?

How many bulbs are in the temp gauge?

yeah you should be able to get them from any car shop/ boyracer shop! they are a kind of wedge shape. with two electrode pieces of wire bent around the end of the bulb to make the connection. Only one bulb needed in the temp gauge. two in each of the of the others which are slightly bigger bulbs.

Cheers Ibby, so I could get it with just the code? rather than having to go an taking it all apart now to get the bulb and then putting it back together then taking it apart then putting the bulb in lol.

Because when I last went into Halfords to get a bulb for my TYGA kit, the lad just looked at it and shrugged his shoulders.

You may well be able to get them by code. To be honest jap spec bikes are a bit of a minefield with regards to codes i think. You only need to take the nose cone off to get at them its very easy. Your side lights are pratically the same bulbs and you can get to them without taking anything off!!
