Fitting of my x-mas radiators. NC30
Since I had my 400 back, it's been in need of a little TLC. It had a persistant water leak that I traced to these pair of somewhat tired rads..

Rather than get them re-cored I decided to replace them as the both had the feel of a jacobs cracker! Wrecked indeed! When I held the lower one up to the sun, I couldn't see through it! obviously a bit peeved at the thought of replacing them, the Mrs' said she'd get them for my present at christmas.
They're cheap chinese ones from ebay which were buy it now for £99 including free postage. There was a customs/handling fee when they landed of £30 but even so it was still a good price. They're nicely made with most of the welds being tidy, the cores looking straight and most importantly, they're shiny! My only criticism is that the brackets aren't quite spot on although they'll do for the time being..

A mysterious box from far away lands..

With these beauties..

Shiny!

Fitted to the bike although I'll have to make a new lower bracket as I twisted the old one during removal of the old rads. It can't be seen in the pic but I also painted the fan housing a nice silver to match the new items..

Bike finished and put away. It's been run up to temp twice and I'm happy to report no leaks or problems. The fan comes in and out as it should so short of a new bracket and a little wiring to tidy, it's all good.

Do the fairing infill panels still fit ok on the top radiator?
Bought a set but not fitted them yet was pleasantly surprised for the price also.

Webby: Not sure if others fit if I'm honest as the NC does have a high number of unique parts. Maybe someone else can chime in who knows more? Would be good to know if cross-compatability was an option..
Drukn: It's not an HRC system however they certainly look the business. They are a little larger than the battered old Honda ones I took off so maybe they're built to slightly larger(?) HRC sizes? A couple of 'HRC' badges and no-one would know!
Dave: The upper fairing panels do fit but only just and I do mean only just. It's kissing the panel brake lever side and there's about 1/16" inch the other. I do intened to put some heat resistant foil/fibre to prevent any heat distortion or excessive rubbing. I did notice that the old Honda top radiator had a slight convex bow in it but I'm not sure if that was just through age, wear and tear. The new one is as straight as straight.
The only other thing I'm gonna have to do is very slightly reduce the diameter of the expansion bottle send/return attachment as I can only just get the first quarter inch of pipe on. Like I said in the OP, they're not a perfect drop in replacement but with a little wiggle and pulling of the brackets, they're fine. I'm really happy with them especially with regards to their cost, to be fair I expected a few rough edges and the build quality not to be quite up to scratch but it's not really been the case.
I have no problem suggesting them, they're a vaible alternative to a recore or unknown second hand items.

They look great & a bargain to boot
It's almost a shame that my originals are too good to replace!

As for the rads, i had a set of these a while back and it looks like the guys welding has improved, mine were pretty rough but worked well. For the money you cant go wrong.

Re: Fitting of my x-mas radiators. NC30
Ha, sorry!
It certainly looks like one but I have to admit that it's not. When it was Craigs, he repainted and tarted the pipes / collector assembly but took the really noisy can off and replaced it with that one which actaully is a D & D with an HRC badge glued to it.. It looks right tho doesn't it!?
The seller ID was coolingsystemclub or something very similar. The brand of radiator is GPR Rad I think..
