doing my own paint job

about 2 months ago i took her off the road to do some bits. have thus far re routed front wiring and got new nose brace,put in carbon lorraine rear pads,stripped and serviced brakes plus painted them, polished left side of frame and swingarm, replaced sprockets and chain (renthal with regina gold chain) and am part way through paint job. finished the lowers apart from lacquering, wheels done and the mudguard is currently drying in the kitchen.

then ive got to put it back together........what was this bolt from again?

Mate, that paint job is looking tops. I like the belly pan.

Get on to it and finish it so we can see the whole thing!

Although its not looking very silver fern like like dude...

My tip - aluminium sprockets are rubbish. They wear out much quicker than steel ones, which on a well-maintained drive train will last at least as long as the chain. Keep an eye on the sprocket every thousand or so, and replace it if you can see wear, or it will take your nice expensive chain with it.

The paint looks grand though, look forward to the finished pictures.

put the top half of silver fern on today (little bit sticking out at the join will be cut off) alls left to do now is lacquer them all. will be doing this at work with heaters etc and not in my kitchen. TY to brooky for supplying the babyblade decal.

also my uncle lives in nz and i cant rememeber wot aeoteoroa means...
its been bugging me for a while now.

yes molded together. bought with no fairings and got both sides and belly pans for only £40 plus plastic nose for 20 (was on a low budget) all different colours but mids had no lugs on them so put them together with fibreglass behind. ive been hit twice by cars and am thankful that i didnt fork out too much. will one day look at collecting a full set of matching. Aeoteoroa stands for (in maori) "land of the long white cloud".

yep done with cans, tanks can be funny with reaction to cans, mine i had problems and ended up stripping back to metal and this is a mission in itself.
