Fairing advice

Post by Jay1200 » Fri Mar 18, 2016 8:04 am

I have read the sticky but wondered if my fairings are just resprayed or Ching chong.
Is there any markings?

Look on the inside of the panels. IIRC there will be "MR8" on there somewhere. Its molded into the ABS, so even if the panels get repainted, you can still see them (cuz who sands the inside of a panel?)

The way they fit (or don't fit with the Chinese fairings) is another good indicator. The oem top fairing should interlock with the mid sections using plastic tabs. The Chinese fairings generally don't fit very well here and have to be modified or have brackets made up to fit them with no gaps.
