Re: Frame paint advise required
Hi
That looks amazing
I will follow your advises.
What grade of Scotchbrite should I use? I have fine and extra fine grades in my garage.
After polishing have you used any clear lacquer as top coat to stop it from rusting?
I was very busy lately..now struggling with a bad lower back, hopefully end of May will be able to start dealing with the frame/bike.

The color of Scotch bright pads corresponds with what grit they are. I'm pretty sure I used a maroon pad which is a medium grit. No, I didn't use any clear coat because that would be noticeable when you looked at it. A clear coat would protect better but, since my bike leads a pretty pampered life, I'll just maintain it as necessary.
