Just purely out of interest has anyone had a go or actually done a replica nr750 on either the nc30 or 35?

If there was something out there id rather have that then a tyga GP fairing kit.

Yes, someone did....but nobody has ever seen the bike nc30 in the flesh except a happy few in Japan...owner magical racing san build one early 90's. I'll post the pic later when I am near my data.

There was a NR rep on an NC30 in Thailand in 1992. I am not sure if the guy still has the moulds but could ask. He used ZXR400 forks because there were no Honda with upside down front ends at the time! The problem is that the bodywork is just the beginning as the link shows. You need to make a custom exhaust, headlight and taillight and side grilles. it all depends how far you want to go in getting it to look the same as the real thing. I've thought about this project a few times before but the investment in time and money for a few sales, has put me off and I can't see it is commercially viable so it would have to be a labour of love by a determined and talented individual to get this to happen. I've got an NR and a spare set of most of the panels (two in some cases as you do) and could take moulds but that is just the start. You'd need to then cut and shut them all to make them fit the 400, a time consuming and difficult task in itself.

Here is a link to the Magical Racing. As explained, this is actually a replica of the show bike (not the production one). You can see differences such as the small vanes on the lowers and CFRP decals which didn't make it to production: http://www.motor-forum.nl/forum/list_me ... -5-73.html

For pics of the prototype version of the NR, we've got an album on our facebook page:

More NRs here:

Also if you like red and carbon Hondas, take a look at our T13 bodywork while you are there and you may be pursaded to go for that look ;)

Thanks Paul. This is the one NR replica I mentioned earlier...I posted these pics on a local forum 8-) I have been interested in this bodykit for a very long time but magical racing san is not going to produce this kit. Asked this a couple of times over the past 7 or 8 years.

So Paul, IF you are that determined and talented indivual to get such kit in carbon and all prep'd and painted for going direct fitment on a 400, then I am listening/interested

Thanks for the enthusiasm. Now wishing to sound negative but all we need now is another 49 like minded individuals willing to buy the kit...The body kit is the relatively easy bit but the exhaust is a major headache. We made a full exhaust for my NR and it took Matt two weeks of solid work with a lot of other guys chipping in and these days we don't have the time to this type of project unless we can put it into production. To make it economic, you need to NC the bends and make jigs which = minimum 50 pieces and still then an exhaust of over 1000 pounds a pop. Wish we had more time for such projects :(

Here are some photos of the Thai NR replica. I took these photos in 1992 or 1993 long before TYGA Performance existed and this just shows how the Thais were masters in modifications even 20 years ago so all credit to them. Forks are ZXR400, mirrors made from scratch (no Blackbird ones to use in those days). I will do some research and find out if the moulds still exist.

I think that looks the dogs undercarriage. I'd be happy riding that down the street.
