1989 type 2 paint scheme help
Does anyone know what the colour codes are for a type 2 scheme and any high resolution pictures would be a massive help thanks pete

Fighting red, seed silver and granite blue metallic IIRC. You can find the codes in the paint code thread in the V4 section

Can someone please confirm these are the correct colours for my bike I will post a fighting red spray card later aswell

Black doesnt look right in that pic, i havent got any panels here at the moment but im sure the flecks are more blue and more subtle than those in that pic. It could just be the pic though

In the light the blue does really pop out of the paint

Is it right that the red race board and the red and black on the front nose cone are painted and not decals

very interesting Peter, I would have sworn that the black on my bike is solid black. Maybe it HAS been repainted.
According to the manual you are correct, the red panels on the nose cone and tail are painted on. I'll have a close look tonight and let you know if this is the case on my bike. I'll also get that other dimension. Thanks for posting the colour samples, I need to get my forks painted silver at some stage.

PB184M Granite blue metallic has always appeared "black" to many people. All US-spec VFR750FN's, for example, were PB184M, and probably 90% of their owners think they own black bikes...
