fairings from the far east
am in need of some new fairings for my nc 29.have any of you (or anyone you know) had any experience with the ones on ebay?theres a couple of sellers on there and the fairings look alright but at about 300 notes i don't want to take the risk....have restored old fairings before on other bikes but i'd rather spend the time doing other things as it takes absolutely ages.the nice bloke i bought the bike off told me to steer clear of them...what do you guys think?

Steer clear of them lol. If youre patient enough these do appear on ebay. Sometimes in really good condition and i reckon you could get the whole set for alot less than the £300 that you could pay for the chinese jobbies.

Only my opinion after reading the above thread and hearing so many other stories of damaged/ill fitting goods received from China.wullvfr wrote:why steer clear of them??????????????/

There seems to be a lot of differences in the quality in the fairings people have been receiving, I got a set from china and and you get what you pay for, they were OK but NOT O.E quality, ive spoken with a couple of people regards this and the ones from Hong Kong are apparently better.chrisja2 wrote:Only my opinion after reading the above thread and hearing so many other stories of damaged/ill fitting goods received from China.wullvfr wrote:why steer clear of them??????????????/
If you dig about there is a member on here who has had his fitted for over 2 years now with no problems.
I think they are worth the money as you would be hard pressed to get original panels (quickly anyway) or original panels painted for that money.
