yep its a requirement to get through scruitenering (no doubt spelt wrong) as i want to have a go racing at the end of next season after some td's and i thought as i was ordering from rick anyway i may as well get it now, + i think it looks kinda cool :D

il also be lock wiring various parts next time the pannels come off so the bike is fully ready and all i need to do is enter

a while back someone was making some plates that went over the oil filter to lockwire them, does anyone else remember it?and are these still availible?

I think that was Gazzah, I'd like one also but postage aint cheap to here.

You can always use a hose clamp and lockwire this nearby.

Some filters (edit: K&N) have a hex top to aid removal, you can drill this to lockwire also.

ok fitted my new renthal 520 sprokets (standard gearing) and tsubaki 520 chain with LOZVFR (cheers again mate), went on really easily but we did strip one of rear sprocket carrier bolts but il have a look for a new set as the others all looked a bit corroded

Image

couldnt believe how much lighter the new 520 renthal sprockets were compaired to the old JT one, didnt weight it but id say easily a quarter the weight

also put my new clutch lever, cable and lever mount on that a bought from riley months ago, now the clutch feels much better (old one was all scratched and mashed from the previous owner dropping it)

nice, the chain and sprockets would be light but by how much i don't know, same you stripped a sprocket nut but i'm sure it's easy replaced and turn your sprocket around as it's fitted back to front,it should off-set towards the wheel.
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

is it? so that means the renthal sticker will be on the outside? i replaced my C&S myself (after having it fit previously by a very very well respected London ride-in-ride-out garage, and when i took it off, i put the new one on the same way, the renthal stick facing in the way, offset to the outside

yeh i thought the sticker faced out but LOZ said it was the other way round, it better not cos that means il have to split the chain again

i think the old one had the offset facing out but not 100%, is it fine to ride like this? havent ried yet and dont wana fcuk the new chain up by doing so

I thought the logo faced out - its free advertising for them then, isn't it?!!

it you loosen the adjuster so there is the most slack in the chain, then undo all the sprocket nuts you might be able to slide it all out towards you and flip it the right way around.
