My NC30 - always things to do

My excuses for not riding it more often are now getting thinner - finally fitted the hugger I've had laying around since Christmas. No more worrying about my Ohlins getting stone chipped now. See you up at Boxhill some time Matt

Had to make up a carbon bracket to raise the back of it a little, as it's meant to fit an RVF. The fit is nigh on perfect now, clearances are fine and it sits snuggly in place. Wondering whether I should get a carbon heat shield made up to match, as it tends to follow the lines of it quite well.





I'm spoiled for choice now: XR for when the weather's bad, or I fancy some more adventurous/green lane riding, ER for dry weather use, group riding, biking events and trackdays, NC30 for when the weather's perfect.

Hmm...I'll try not to.

Well, I promised the little bike I'd take it out somewhere nice and with the weather being so good today, it would have been rude not to. Just some local roads - rode up to Boxhill for a milkshake and then the twisty way down to Bury Hill for a Lucozade - was lucky enough get a clear path on the A272, which got me testing the bike's abilities properly at last.



It's been strange riding a bike that's a talking point amongst other riders. I haven't had a bike since the Konica (which is the same bike really) that has caused as much attention. Everyone wanted to know different things about it; from what bike the forks are from, to questioning what year Honda released a white and grey paint scheme on an NC30. Most thought it was a clean standard bike that must have been stored since new - until they started spotting some very non OE modifications that is.



At last, a proper reason to clean the thing.

Sweet my new fairings are on the way got a one piece rear and a SUZUKA 8 hour front not too sure of paint job but this is a serious contender love that color

fantastic to see you got the thing out at last, the 272 is my nc30's territory lol me and my mate (also on nc30) made it from winch to his house in west meon in 6 mins once, and that was doing 30 through the 30 sections!

we went to bsb today with some of the scbc lot and smev and his friends, make sure you post up on scbc next time your out and about, I really wana see this bike in the flesh, only dito about not parking near me lol

My that does look really really nice....shame to dirty it but it was made to be ridden .Mine is also covered in flies tonight as i went out for a blast at about 8'ish and it was very warm,sunny and the roads on Anglesey were pretty much deserted...happy days

It's great to finally be out and about on it. There's a couple of things I want to look into though - namely suspension setup plus an odd vibration that occurs around 12k, but doesn't seem to impede performance. I'll have a look in the carbs but I reckon it might be ht leads or coil packs (CDi, rectifier, plugs, battery, etc have all been replaced for new items).

I'll post in the ride outs section next time I'm about if anyone does want to see the bike (it's not for sale btw, I keep getting people asking if they can have first dibs for some weird reason).

Very nice, my Dad Saw u at bury hill, and told me about it. would love to see in the flesh if u go there again. i have a castrol one very tidy but have the perfect dianese full black/ white suit to match. and hat. love the cbr that has that scheme, but just stay on the 400 as its much more fun, and my size.
