Re: The Exhaust Thread
Thanks for the prompt response. Can you be more specific? Not all single outlet nor dual outlet pipes are created equally. Is there one specifically you had in mind?

Re: The Exhaust Thread
take thee to the mngforce site and read til your wallet is broken and you want Mike @ G Force to send you a motor.
My tuppence is that there is not going to be anything like 5 hp in a system - it is more likely that you get one, stick to it and then tune the fuelling around that.
I gained 2hp with a fairly shit twin stack over a std system and a can. I now have a full single can and suspect it is better than the stack.
You still need torque in these bikes, so midrange and the pull up to the upper end is as important.

Re: The Exhaust Thread
Thanks! I've yet to receive a response from Mike. It seems he's busy on new fronts now. As this will be used in a racing application, we aren't concerned with anything much below 8 or 9k and each pony is important to us. We have a dyno that the bike can spend unending days on but we don't want to invest a lot of time with a combination that isn't in the ballpark. Thanks again for your input.

Re: The Exhaust Thread
Most known brands of full system will for sure show some gains with correct fueling and settings. Try out (on a dyno) is best to find those gains. In stock trim the restriction lies with the standard diameter pipes that are very small, in the rear manifold and in the standard y-piece before the end can that has inside restriction in extra plating. Good systems can be had from a dozen of brands like moriwaki, ethos, tyga, tsr, beet, and more. A search in this topic will reveal most of them. If the last mile of hp is not worth all the hassle then maybe it is good to focus on strong midrange with improved pick up to the end like what mark said.

Just been having a closer look at the NC30 I was given a while back.
Can anyone ID the Exhaust system?

Can has a JMCR tag on it . . .

Thanks.

Can looks like Yamamoto, rear pipes possibly Ethos.

Re: The Exhaust Thread
Yes, both are pretty good brands, nothing to worry about. But those pipes and can in the pics are definately not ethos and not late yamamoto neither. I would put it into direction of Beet. Welding and angles are way different, can in unbrushed alloy and hanger fixed plate welded on can.

Re: The Exhaust Thread
Gd Day All.
Thought this the best place for info.
Tried to search this on other threads but to no avail.
Having 'fun' if you can call it converting a '92' NC30.
I've been told it has been tracked and the previous owner had an aftermarket system fitted.
Not dyno'd yet but sounds sweet enough just never heard of it?..
It's a carbon slip on with badged 'D & D FX Wurth, TX USA'
Any knowledge most welcome...?
