Tail peice repair

Post by moblies » Fri Dec 26, 2008 8:51 pm

Just a quicky, The Tail section on my nc30 is in need of various repairs but the join at the back (H Section) has been badly glued together to make it stay in place. I was considering having the rear tail section glued/plastic welded together to make one peice. I assume the rear section can be fitted as 1 peice and removed as 1 peice? I think the lugs on the rear panels are missing otherwise I would look for a seconhand H peice.

Thanks

you are maybe just as well looking for a second hand t-piece,always available on ebay at cheap costs.

only problem is they are usually broken, with lugs missing but may well be in better condition than your own.

the one on my bike is not in the best of condition fitment wise, but has no cracks externally but on the inside a few of the lugs, brackets are broke making it a bit of a poor fit.

Once the saddles are off and the brake light connection is disconnected, I tend to remove the tail piece as a whole anyway.

They're not that expensive, and I've seen plenty of H-pieces on their own on Ebay - could you find a colour match there?
