Did you find it? If you did you'll see there aren't any pics. Which is a shame but I just cannot post pics from my Mac on this forum, despite a plethora of advice and tips from other peeps.

Unfortunately not no, am i right in thinking it isn't a specific build thread but quite a few threads on things done to your bike in which case then yes i have found them.

It's been a while since i posted a pic and used photobucket last time but will have a look if i can find another image hosting site and see if i can put a picture up for a trial run

I think you must be, well done. But why is it so bloody complicated? I post pics on other sites easy peasy. I think that colour scheme is probably the best. Mine's a Type 1 scheme and I've never seen another one. Having said that I can't remember the last time I saw an NC29 on the road. In case you don't know the Type 1 it's featured on the front cover of the Haynes manual and coincidentally the other NC29 on the cover has a DIC end can, which mine came with. Great sound. Had mine out today. I've just got back from a 9 day trip on my Bonneville from Manchester to Lands End, then back through Cornwall, Devon & Somerset to Cheddar Gorge. Over the Severn Bridge and up through Wales (in 1 day). Across and through the Yorkshire Dales. Up through the Lake District, into Scotland. Finishing at John O'Groats. Then back down to Inverness, bike on a truck and me on a plane to Manchester. All on minor roads, which is why it took so long. I couldn't have done it on the NC29, far too uncomfortable for that distance. 2021 miles in total. But it was great to be out on it today.

Sounds like a bloody good trip, did you do it on your own? I understand the nc29's aren't the comfiest of bikes, think the farthest i did was around 350 miles in a day some years ago (north Wales) and didn't use the bike again for a few weeks (recovery time )
I've only ever seen one other nc29 on the road about 5 years ago at devils bridge (Kirby lonsdale) painted up by dream machine . Had a matter with the owner who was also surprised to see another on the road.
I have seen quite a few nc30's out and about though and that i do find odd as a few years ago there was none around here, have never seen any zxr400's, nc23's, nc35's gsxr400's etc ever on the road.

The trip was the Great Malle Rally, organised by Malle, a company that primarily makes bike luggage (excellent but very pricey). I think this was the 5th year. Originally 100 bikes were registered for the trip in June but it got pushed back to September and people dropped out, mainly those coming from overseas. There were around 70 riders plus the organisers & backup team. Camp sites were set up in advance, all meals provided, luggage carried in a van, mobile shower unit, paramedic and mechanics available if required. We set off in small teams each morning, with a route card and several checkpoints to aim for each day. Average day was 8-10 hours riding. There was only 1 unfixable breakdown, quite a few dropped bikes but only 1 injury required the medic. The Rhynose and Hardknott passes near Coniston were tricky (check out Youtube if you don't know them) and that's where a few bikes went down. Breathtaking scenery and some of the best roads I've ever ridden. Recommended.
I've seen a couple of NC30's but that's it. I think we're a dying breed
