Rumour is that they will use the engine out of the Super 4.

I guess it will be very competitively priced against the ZX25R since they have the engine just lying about doing nothing.

I think there will be a lot of happy people if they did release this but I suspect it will be down on power (probably around 47hp) compared to the original

Can't beat the originals, be comical if the original did have more power than the newer version though

Modern Japanese sports bikes have of course got huge technological advantages over our 90's bikes but good looks isn't one of them (aesthetics isn't really technological, but you know what I mean). Hard as I try I just cannot look at a modern sports bike from any Jap factory and think it compares favourably.
Even when they attempt a 'retro' version it doesn't really work, just look at the reborn Suzuki Katana.
On the other hand the Italians are managing to produce some gorgeous looking machines.

Absolutely correct about most of the modern bikes, maybe in twenty years time i may change my mind but at the present they look :scare: :Puke:

Agree, but even worse than the sports bikes is the semi-naked transformer toy things with sharp pieces of plastic all over them.

Semi naked one's like the z1000 which looks like the front of the bike has broken/been in an accident (which is what i thought the first time i saw one) and dropped down onto the front mudguard you mean (own personal view?) Yes they look s@@t give me a FULLY faired bike any day not some of the bitsa fairings we are seeing nowadays. It's no wonder the price of old bikes is rising, maybe one of the reasons is looks.
Don't get me wrong some of the new bikes are ok looking but not many of them.

That's just what I thought when I first saw that 'style' (I use the word loosely ;) ). There seems to be unnecessary pieces of plastic. Just looks wrong to me and they all seem to look pretty similar. Take the badges off and I wouldn't even know the manufacturer. Having said that, there are plenty of people out there who would say the same about '90's bikes...but what do they know?
