I just started riding not too long ago and picked up a 92 CBR400RR earlier this year. This is how she looks like now, black on black. She had seen better days and not in the best condition but needed a bit of TLC to get her to where I wanted her.
More progress of her in the next few posts.

Things I've done so far since I've taken ownership of the bike in Jan... over the course of more than a handful of trips to my mechanic. Thankfully he's well known for maintaining old Honda race-bikes so he had a lot of spare parts around.
Jan
- Picked her up
First thing I did was remove the pink decals..
Feb
- Battery
- Plugs
- Carb wash
- Air filter
- Speedometer gear
- Tires; Metzeler M5
- Flywheel
Needed to get basic maintenance done to feel comfortable riding her on the road
March
- Charging coil
Battery kept dying.. took her to the mechanic and found out the charging coil was faulty
April
- Carb wash AGAIN along with another set of new plugs, tune, etc..
Found out the bike was running rich. The carb jet needle was a racing one and it was on its way out. Replaced it with an OEM needle.
June
- Fan
- Carb T-joint
- Service the rear calipers
- Break master pump
- Rear brake pads
- Voltmeter
July
- Replace front wheel
Found out it was bent while it was taken off and sent to the paint shop. Decided to replace it with a used straight wheel.
Now the bike is at the paint shop getting the forks and wheels done in gold. More pics to come soon. It's definitely been a roller-coaster so far with this bike. I hope I can now focus on enjoying it.

Yeah that's 80,000 KM on the clock- not sure how much a bike this age should be at though

Your bike is looking really nice
Im not picking on it, honest guvner.. but if you want to finish it off maybe paint the clutch cover, my bike suffers from this as I always end up catching it on a wall as its got to be up right against it when parked up. It really spoils the look in photos. In England at least, Halfords do a decent match to the original paint, its called Ford Graphite Grey. Maybe you can find it in your country.
