New Tyres finally available for NC30 (Alpha 14)

Post by Neosophist » Wed Feb 22, 2017 1:01 pm

Dunlop have released their new Alpha 14 tyres in Japan

http://www.srigroup.co.jp/newsrelease/2 ... 6_113.html

Not sure if they are going to be sold in the UK / Europe but they do an A14H specifically for the 250/400 class and more importantly it's available in a 150-60-18, I saw a set today.

I had a set of the older A13's on my CBR250 and they make BT90's feel like old hat.

Modern day motoGP compound that makes the bike feel like it's on rails.. if you're still riding an NC30 or similar bike I highly recommend trying to get a set, you won't be disappointed.

I used dunlop alpha 13's at my last track day and they are incredible compared to the diablo rosso 2's i was using before...super sticky, heat up quick and seem to have some decent life. Keen for the new ones :)

We're only just seeing the A13 here in the UK and as far as i can tell only in a ZR rating, i dont hold much hope for the A14

Ah thats rubbish that they don't import the H spec tyres for the smaller bikes as the compounds are really matched for smaller bikes.

Group import might be in order, but the tyres are not that cheap.

I looked at a group order ages ago and it still wasnt cheap, then you've got the hassle of people that said they would have em to cough up.
Shame cos there bloody sticky tyres but if you do have 17's the conti attack SM's are much cheaper and still very sticky.
