NC30/35 Engine Bearings

Post by g-force performance » Wed May 25, 2016 6:25 am

Just as a Heads-Up.

I am currently trying to pin down a quality source to make new rod and main journal bearings for our little engines. I have contacted the original company in Japan that makes the bearings for Honda. I am really hoping they will work with me. Otherwise, I have a couple of other possibilities like Clevite, Federal Mogul or possibly Mahle.

For these companies to take me seriously, my volume has to be large enough. So, I am curious to see how many of you would be interested in bearings if I were to get these done. Also, maybe some of you have some other sources you could recommend.

Looking forward to your response.

Mike, I would be interested in a set rods/mains. Price pending, of course.

I'm working on it. In one case, the price is going to be a deal regardless, if you can't get them anywhere else because they are NLA all over the world.. On the other hand, I am still going to try and get them to be close to the same as OEM. But, that just depends on how many I need to have made.

Also interested in minimum of one set possibly two, keep us updated on times scales and costs. I am ideally building up another motor for the Manx gp when the winter arrives.
