Sorry for the long silence. It's the "Holidays" here in the States. Bahh Humbugh!!! :x

At the turn of the year (in a few weeks), I plan to order a batch of 57mm pistons. I just don't know how large yet. I am trying to get enough funds together to order a full 48 pistons to:
A): Keep the prices where we originally agreed
B): Have pistons on the shelf for those who were not able to get them at this time, but would really like to get them in the future. This is a big risk as I can't guarantee that they will all sell. But, I am really hoping that in the next 12 months at least 10 of you want 57mm pistons.

And, as a side note: I have 3 sets of 56mm Cosworths "on the shelf" right now, ready for shipping in the States, and Rick Oliver has the rest of them "on the shelf" right now, ready for shipping in the UK. These are for those that are limited to +1.00mm oversized for their race organizations.

Again, sorry for the wait. But, I really promise you, the first time you twist that throttle with the pistons, the smile-factor will be off-scale
:| :| :| ;) ;) ;)      :o :o :o

The 57's are on order. I'm in contact with Cosworth now to get a better update on when we can expect them. It's the busiest time of year for all racing-oriented companies.

I really appreciate everyone's patience with this. I had to front nearly $20,000 of my own savings for 12 engine sets to make this happen. So, I sure hop I can sell The remaining 9 sets (3 sets already spoken for). It took me a while to come up with the money.

I will be back with updates as soon as I know more.

Hi All:

I am very sorry that I have not been active on here. I have been struggling to get a smaller-than-normal engine workload done while suffering from continued back pain. It looks like I am going in for Surgery #7 in the near future.

Now, for the good news :!:

The Cosworth 57mm pistons were ordered in January of 2017. I ordered 48 pistons (12 engines sets) with 4 sets at the STD pin height (and 2 of those sets are already spoken for), and the rest at the HRC pin height (requiring +3.0mm longer rods). If you think you missed out on the order period, now is your FINAL CHANCE EVER to get these pistons. With what I have gone through, I will not do this again. I am doing this because, I believe with all my heart, once you twist the throttle with these pistons in your engine, your love for the awesome little V4 will be renewed with even bigger smiles

Some additional updates. The price will be slightly higher (but I will keep the price the same for those who already have deposits). The reason is actually very good. I have chosen to upgrade the Wrist Pins (Gudeon Pins) with DLC coating for practically ZERO wear. The new price with DLC coated pins will be $1,670 for Pistons, DLC coated Pins and Circlips.

I am still working to get Rings at a better price. But, currently they are going to be between $200-$250 per engine set. Also, the Piston rings can be TiN plated, again for highly reduced wear. Or, I can have rings DLC coated for even greater wear reduction for a higher cost. TiN is +$80 per engine set of rings (This should add 2x to 3x the life of the rings). DLC is +$240 per engine set (but will probably NEVERwear out).

I am trying to lock in a delivery date, but they are telling me that this is the busiest time of year for them as ALL forms of racing are all trying to get their parts rush-made at the moment. I will post when I have more updates.

Yes, however the price for the pins may be slightly higher as Cosworth's price was better than what I had quoted to me.

What country are you in again? Maybe I can steer you to a service closer to you.
