Shiny G-Force part has arrived!

Ok, so getting a bit eager to fit the gixer stator adapter that I received from Mike Norman. I couldn't turn down this part knowing that I'll probably never be able to bolt on an alternative rotor otherwise.

Extremely well made piece of gear, I need to get me a gixer stator and flywheel and away I go!

Has anyone out there fitted theirs yet?

Anyone install theirs yet? I am anxious to read what people think. Can you feel the difference in acceleration?

Mike,

I'll go over the data from the Barber Motorsports round from a couple weeks ago and try to pull some concrete evidence for you. My motor is definitley snappier but we tossed out all the quitening gearsat the same time.

Mike,

Look in the area outlined in yellow. It's a good example of how well the motor spins up now. Even after carrying a full gear higher into the corner, getting back on the gas a little late by the time I enter turn six I am already carrying more speed that the previous event. Total lap time for the 2 laps was only tenth of a second apart but the bike pulls better right off the corner. Gearing was the same during both laps.

No the parts arrived a little too late for the first trackevent (it got nicked in the custom :x ) and the events are so close together at the moment, so it will be a problem to have it fitted between events.

But I can say: It is a very well manufactered piece of equipment!!. It is much nicer than expected and it is very hard to have to wait until fall to have it installed.

Kenny:

Thank you so much for that Data Acquisition clip. That was more telling than I could have done with the dyno.

And, thanks for letting us borrow the Gerd Rads. That was above and beyond. You're a very genuine guy and we appreciate all your help, and look forward to returning the favors as much as possible.

Twas my pleasure sir.

In chatting with Mike L. the other night we got on to the discusssion of triple clamps. I'll need to be chatting with you about perhaps whipping up another set of those with some eccentric adjusters in them.

...so I'm just getting around to thinking of acquiring the suzuki parts...
Can somebody remind me exactly which bits I need, and from which models were compatible?
part numbers would be cool but i might be able to find those myself.

Would the lightweight generator make a difference with regard to jetting?
I'm thinking not, but if I got it dyno-tuned and then put the suzuki bits in later on, would it mess anything up?

I think Mike recommended a K7+ gsx-r1000 stator and flywheel.

I can't quite remember, it looks as though most post-2000 600, 750 and 1000 flywheels/stators will fit, but the one above might be a better (lighter?) design.

The jetting shouldn't need to be altered.

Can anyone tell me how to e-mail directly to a user? The new forum tells me I have no permission to e-mail directly, no permission to set a signature, no permission to.....

Anyway, I am trying to get directly a hold of CMSMJ1 (Mark). He has e-mailed me from the forum, but it was with a no-reply address and he didn't leave his e-mail address. :?

Thanks.
