Two new tyres have arrived, Bridgestone T31 sport touring jobs. While fitting the wheels will be re-painted along with the hugger, they are all marked.

I have collected a replacement fuel tank, tail plastic, front mudguard and both side fairings (only a nose cone required) so that I can have it any colour I want. Imageworks have been commissioned and paid to produce the decals, I have a colour and scheme in mind so watch this space....

The fitted screen is in quite a bad way, I bought a couple of replacements:

and have been playing with my polisher and compounds, I am not happy yet with the results. The taller (bottom) screen is a genuine Honda touring screen so is taller without looking 'double bubble' and comes with a clock shroud. Unfortunately one of the screw mount outer areas came off in transit to me but it won't show when fitted.

I have also spent money on braking components:

I am also working on the top yoke, update to follow when done.

If you need another CBR600 screen to add to your collection (and you can never have too many :P ) I've got one from a 2001 model going spare.

I bought a spare top yoke and my paint man matched the factory finish. It was awkward to fit - I had to drill out the original ignition mounting screws - but looks sooooo much better:

All three calipers have received some attention, note the stainless joining bolts:

Wheels are with the paint man along with new tyres.

Already here are titanium disk screws, stainless caliper and fork pinch bolts. On order is a genuine rear brake pedal.

I prefer a paint finish - a higher shine. Easier to blow in if marked. Also the hugger is there at the same time, difficult to powder....

I have a range of 3m and Faracla products as well as Plast-Rx. They all work to a degree but I am pretty fussy regarding results.

I used the Plast-Rx on my screen however had to go 800, 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 on the sandpaper first then that was the final step.
105 & 205 I'm very happy with.

I had looked at the rear brake pedal with suspicion even before buying the bike. Once the rear caliper was removed and there was no resistance to pedal movement it failed to clear the fairing when pressed. I ordered a replacement which came today, here they are alongside each other:

Now I have a pedal that not only clears the fairing but is in the right place for my boot. Details like this make me happy.

You just have to love those little bends that seem to magically appear on bikes - lol
