Castelated Socket Sizes?

Post by porndoguk »

I have a few spare LARGE sockets that I don't need so thought id butcher them for the castellated sockets,

can somebody measure the outer diameter and size of each teeth,

I can only think of two id need, swing arm and clutch,

the head race isn't needed as I use a C spanner,

Cheers me dears

did you just knock that drawing up or is that on the net already?

im assuming the 37mm one is for the clutch and the 30mm for the swingarm?

I made it just for you, thats my socket, the proper Honda one is dual sided.

I have no idea which fits which as I havent used it yet, just in the process of getting some new clutch plates.

I can go see which side fits the swinger though..

Right.

Big side fits the swinger.

Small side fits in the lower engine mounting (which is obv castellated) and I will assume the clutch too

Yes, the smaller side definately fits the clutch nut as well. Have the same genuine tool.

Updated the original image (refresh the page if you don't see the change)

As you can see, the smaller side for the clutch / engine mount the teeth are wider than they are tall, this is the opposite for the larger side where the teeth are taller than they are wide.
