Hi,
Basically are NC23 and NC29 headlights the same or totally different (I'm presuming different but hoping I might be lucky lol)
I have bought a crash damaged NC29 to either rebuild or break, I personally prefer the rebuild option but I am trying to weigh up the costs to do it.
It's had a front end smash so has bent forks, damaged/ruined tank and fairings, and annoyingly a cracked clutch cover.
I am in no real hurry as I have the garage space (and currently a broken leg so can't ride anything for months anyway lol) so I will let ebay alerts tell me when bits come up cheaply and hopefully buy bits as and when for good prices.
The headlights are missing altogether and I've never had a 29 before so don't know if a set of 23 lights I have spare will fit. Anybody know?
Cheers
Adrian

My 29 was in pretty much the same state as yours when i got it. You can get all the parts pretty cheap on ebay and quite a few bits are the same as those used on other cbr models. Also graham france has a good supply of used parts at a good prices. If you need new forks any way could be an ideal time for upgrading or fitting a set of usd's.

Re: NC23 and NC29 headlights, different?
I have a pair of Street Triple USD's which may make their way onto the NC29 at some point, when I get the time to CAD and order a set of yokes it might happen!
I also have a pair of Street Triple R USDs and calipers, they are destined for my NC23 though! Yoke for that are getting CAD modelled first as that's my real baby.
If they look similar I might design a set of Yokes that will take USD forks and fit both NC23 and NC29, depends on offset geometries etc though. When I get the time I will do the measurements and CAD/prototype work. (I've not even made a visual comparison yet).
Thinking about it if its financially viable and the yoke design fits both bikes I could potentially flog these for custom fitting.
