I am in the process of tidying up my cbr400 nc29. The switches look very dated I would ideally like to replace them.

Do any other Honda motorbike switch gears fit directly without modifying the wiring? or perhaps some which only require minor changes?

I dont think there would be any switches that are different from standard that would be plug and play. even identical switches from hondas range seem to have different plugs on various bikes and would need re pinning. on saying that i remember someone did fit R6 switches to their 29 ages ago, maybe search on this site for info.

You can purchase new switch gear on Ebay but it's from China, so not entirely sure on the end quality??

Does the CBR250 have the same size clip-ons? Pretty sure they have the same switch gear on them??.....

Mine are worn as well and I'll have to replace them at some stage.

Cbr250 switch gear maybe the same as is some cbr900 but you may have to re pin it to suit as I had to for my bike using a nc35 switch.

Nah sorry mate. I didn't save it on my watch list as I decided I'd just refurbish mine or purchase some 2nd hand ones.

Was only the one auction though and they advertised that they sold CBR400RR switch gear and VFR400 from memory. It looked good, nice and new looking but I can't imagine the finish quality being flash or the soldering and wiring being that great a quality either?

I'll keep an eye out on Ebay and post a link if I find the seller again.

Get in touch with Graeme france he normally has good working used ones, i got mine from him and they wher like new to be honest lol

Has anyone tried painting the old ones and applying stencils for the writing?? I know it would be fiddly but it must be possible??

I found the Chinese ones... They only sell the left hand side but for £12.50 can't be too bad ha!
