Lowering an NC30

Hi there everybody.

Just got a short question: Are there any Kits for lowering an NC30 at the rear shock linkage? Found nothing on the bay and here in germany there are nearly no parts available for the small 400 bikes beside the oem parts.

On the front we are going to stick the stanchion about 1 inch throught the triple clamp. And at the rear shock an lowering about 1 inch would be great.
Any Advicc is welcome.

My Girlfriend bought herself an VFR 400 last summer and because she is only 5,3 ft tall it´s difficult for her to get both feet on the ground when she sits on her bike.

you could go for an aftermarket shock with adjustable height but they aren't cheap and probably don't have that much adjustment. Another option would be to get someone to fabricate some custom shock linkages so the shock sits lower in the swing arm, but may have issues with clearance etc. Maybe chop the seat a little bit?

Either way its not going to be an easy job, lower the front and see how that is, be wary the bike will handle differently and will probably turn in a lot quicker in the bends if the back ride height is not lowered too.

Put a 17 inch rear wheel on it to start with, expensive yes, but you aren't messing with linkages.

Then you can also change the chain/hub adjuster so that the rear axle sits at the top, should give you another 40mm

Can also raise the front forks about 10mm
