Has anyone fitted KOSO clocks?

Post by claydontoby92 » Sat Jan 26, 2013 5:15 pm

Good Evening guys,

I have an urge to fit some digital clocks on my cbr400rr...

I was just trying to get some reviews, fitting help or find somewhere who will fit them?

Cheers All,

Toby

Yes....it was surprisingly easy.

Although I don't have idiot lights to deal with though.

Oddly enough I'm also thinking of switching to KOSO clocks and have been searching for an analogue to digital converter for the speedo. Am I correct in thinking that if you just remove the speedometer cable it'll turn on the restrictor on the NC29 so you would first need to de-restrict it if you wanted to fit KOSO clocks without an analogue to digital conversion, or even with the conversion in place?

Just make sure you order the correct one for your dash. They do a black plug and a white plug version depending on which model dash you have :peace:

Deffo fancy one, Have to check out how difficult they are and what's needed.

Maybe ask around at a few garages, or just smarten up my standard clocks

i had a koso clock on my NC29, problem i had encountered is that the engine wont run normal. you have to buy a new unrestricted CDI or make a modification to the stock cdi to remove the restriction. i made the option 1.

sorry for not making my previous message clear...

its not the cdi that has to be modified, it's the wiring loom (this what happens when you are working in the office and replying forums, mind is mixed-up! ).

I did tried to tap some wire in the loom with a resistor (thanks to this forum). the engine worked ok, but the reading on my Koso RPM looks strange (i think its because i have a bad wiring loom condition). I ordered a wiring loom and Ignitech CDI from Graeme, and now everything works fine.
