Stafford Bike show today.

Post by andy1472 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 6:32 pm

Went to the show today on the hunt for some baragins. There were more jap bikes and spares than I expected seeing as it was a classic bike show.

I brought engine oils £25 cheaper than in the shop. Some fuel tank filter gauze to repair mine £3 a sheet.
£60 for a gold chain and link.
Fork oil. £3.50 for 1ltr.

Oh and a £200 Beowulf can and link pipe with removable d killer - ahem cough cough, stole it for £99 actually from the Beowulf stand all boxed.

The vintage trails bike course was amazing. Those old boys sure can throw a bike round.

Agostini gave a good talk.

Oh and spotted a few nice beauts for sale................

The Carole Nash international Jap bike show? Wrong! 5% Jap bikes 95% the rest!

The old man restores British bikes. WTF would he go to a Jap show then?

Do your research!

This weekend is the british show mainly, the one in october is the jap one.

Still some good bits there today, i was amazed at some of the prices of the 250's that were being sold, 6k for a RGV SP that wasnt that clever tbf. Some stunning british bikes aswell, as well as Rossi's championship RSW250 and Harada's RSW500.

Highlight for me was buying a lower panel for the rvf400 with all the lugs in tact for a tenner, only needs painting :)

Normally go to both of these and skipped it today for the first time in around 6 years.

15k for a RC30 is about the norm. Not followed them much have you ? they were around 7k back in 2000 for the same bike

Errm considering I've only had an Honda for around 10 weeks and have had other makes for 22 years I'd say there is a good change I have not followed the prices of RC30's hence the question mark at the end of my original 'is this right' quote!

I suppose there are a few of us out there that are not anal enough to know the prices of all bikes and have a life away from 2 wheels now and again.

I fucking hate these 'know-alls' aready.

Time to quit!
