and now thinking...should i rebuild it to race?...
the kehins would go well on my 23,but will have to race that in another class....

Re: what have i done....
they are off a nc29,x jap spec race bike...and will bolt onto the 23.
my 23 is already running nc29 carbs and modified nc29 hrc ram airbox...so its just a case of making another airbox to suit the flatties muhahaha
i will run them on it next year and race it in another class

Nice work! You'd pay over half that just for the carbs! Just out of interest, what size are the flatslides?

Re: what have i done....
so what carbs are standard on the 29, are they the same as the 23 because if not they could be a cheap power gain

Re: what have i done....
the 29 carbs are completly different, they are still a cv carb, bit run a flat slide, and have ally velocity stacks there are alot of tuning bits available for them(im told hrc)
they seem to work very well compared to the 23 carbs.
only problem i found was a airbox to fit,so i made 1..but im sure some1 here has modded a base plate to fit a std 23 airbox...
i havnt even looked at the flatties yet, or measured the bore...might do that tomorrow lol

Re: what have i done....
Over the winter I am building what is basically a full HRC kitted NC29 inc. an engine from Mayhew (nearly finished).
However I keep thinking like you and want to do another trick NC23 - over the years I have accumulated for the NC23 a Pace rad / TSR headers / short trumpets / Dyna Ignition / GF rear sets / GF Racetech suspension / RS Magtecs ... just need to find the funds to have the engine done .... best so far is 66BHP with 399cc .. the magical 70 awaits ...
Stimpy - keep in touch - are you over in 09 - and good luck whichever route you choose.
Graeme.
