so im underway..panels off (all honda)and in process of being repaired ready for paint.the guy is going to fit thin sound proofing foam to rear of panels as it will givea bit of extra strength to them..
I met the movac guy last week with the paint codes courtesy of the forum so he;s checking they can do the red white and blues..
Only thing im not sure about is colour scheme? should i do the phase1 or 2 rwb schem?(ie rc rep or not) any advice?
Rick oliver has put me in touch with one of the members for supply of decals which im going to apply before panels are all laquered..
Next this week calipers, wheels, brackets, radiators etc all ready for stripping, priming painting..
I did notice when i rode it, it had a flat spot at around 5000rpm. its currently running a blue flame exhaust. so maybe jets? not balanced? Ticks over fine, starts no problem and upto and beyond is fine..
Going to do plugs leads etc along with all fluids and filters whilst in bits obviously...
Just read the carb guide link and it seems pretty straight forward, where is best place to get jets in norwich?
The receipts i have show its had a rear end rebuild complete with rear discs and pads tho not very good? Usual?
So thats good..also got refurbed shock.. so shouldnt have to worry to much about that..
Going to do the reg/rec as suggested by you guys and fork upgrade? is this something i could undertake myself? relatively mechanically minded..
