Re: Swingarn and engine mount removal tool
If it is just removal you are talking about, you may find that removal of the Castle nuts should not be much of a problem. The Castle nuts are essentially the locknuts. If you loosen and remove the main bolts and adjuster nuts on each of the swingarm and engine mounts the Castle nuts usually come off rather easy. Where the tool is most useful is for re-installing and torqueing the Castle nuts. (Above based on my experiences and your results may vary.)
You can make/buy similar tools but note that the swingarm and engine mount Castle nut sizes are different.

Re: Swingarn and engine mount removal tool
Thanks Jeff but I kinda already knew that as I managed to get one out with the locknut still on ok but the other one wont budge so I thought I would get the tool and take the locknut out first then the bolt would maybe come out easier and as you say I will need it for re assembly anyway
Rhory there doesnt seem to be a gazzahh on the members list but now you mention it I do remember him from the old site
Cheers Glen

Glen, are you removing the engine? Engine supported on a stand? You probably already did this but, maybe if you loosen, but not remove, all the other engine mounts you will get a little more "play" in the engine and this might help loosen that one stuck bolt.

Re: Swingarn and engine mount removal tool
I've got one of these, costs about £25 on ebay if they're available. I think Gazzaaah charges the same.
All-in-one tool, does the mounts for the engine and the swingarm, but you need a chuffing-hooge allen key too for one of the engine mounts... or was it the swingarm...?

Re: Swingarn and engine mount removal tool
Swingarm is the largest hex and the rear upper engine mount is large too. I used a "chuffing-hooge" hexagonal center punch, or drift, or whatever you guys call it, and it was the perfect size.

Thankfully I already had the chuffing large allen key, bought it from Halfords[1].
Have a look for oil drain plug sockets.

Re: Swingarn and engine mount removal tool
Hi Guys,
I have made and sold the engine mounting locknut tool (also fits the clutch nut) but have only one left, I also made the swing arm locknut tool which is sightly bigger but needs a hole in the center for the 14mm allen key to hold steady the shaft while you nip up the locknut, but I dont have any of these left, £15 for the engine mount tool, but a guy was selling both tools for £27 on ebay and I think Rick Oliver sells them as well?

Yes, I keep the genuine Honda tool in stock (double ended, does all those locknuts and the clutch nut) @ £25.
