okay, so i managed to fix my electrical systems on the bike. it was just a loose connection, but my low beam wont work. i went an checked all the connections and they seem to be fine...could it be the switch ? maybe there is a loose connection in the switch? other than that. it all seems to work fine..

cheers.

A classic case of using the wrong light bulbs and the low beam in the switchgear dying is my guess.

You might be able to clean it up inside, but if you are ont running std lamps, you need to do a relay mod.. details are on the forum!

It is the wattage. J-spec bulbs are 60/35 and UK are 60/55s The stock wiring cannot handle the 55 watt low beam.

hmm okay, i checked my bulbs and yes they are both 60/55w, i was reading the relay mod guide. and im a bit confused to wether i need a new relay to tap into the low beam wiring or to use the existing high beam realy to opeare both of them...so i need a nother relay of the same kind or not?

You need to add another relay.

Any 12v 30 amp automotive relay will do, like this:

There cheap in maplins. maybe 1gbp.

you could use another one of the same relay the hi-beam type.

You still need to repair your switch though... either clean out the melted bits inside or replace it.
