Started work on the tyga kit and there is a patch where the exhaust has burnt a hole. ThatS not a worry can patch the up. Althought there seems to be a large burge on the same side ( right hand side). Can anyone say if this is normal or has the heat caused the deformation? Thinking I could cut it out and get some fibreglass to level it out.

The bulge is normal and ironically in this case, is there to prevent the burning. We noticed that some systems (ours included) run quite close so we put the bulge in there to gives a safe clearance of the fairing with the pipe. In your case, it seems the pipe sat a bit lower so be sure adjust or something before replacing or it will burn through again. Hot V4 header vs lower fairing is no contest even with a heat shield installed. On the other had, you could go for that 'factory racer' burned lowers that can be spotted on the Suzuka racers and the like a few years ago...

Thanks Paul that's good news saves abit of work. I was thinking about using some sort of insulation material on the inside to prevent in burning again. Any suggestions?

Have a look for reflect-a-cool, seems to work quite well and it's not that thick if space is an issue

Or try some of the exhaust wrap - material which can be tied/metal clipped around the appropriate section of downpipe.
I had a load fitted to my NC30 system a while back.
