i just picked up an cbr400 project all there bar wheels and bodywork....i've had 400's before including RVF and i know the diff between the models....right so here it is...IT IS DOWN ON THE FRAME HEADSTOCK AS NC23....i have looked at the nc23 chassis numbers on the database..it is about 100 from end of factory run...it is on a E-reg plate..making like a 1988 there about...was imported in 1996..i have the docs v5..numbers match.....BUT here is the thing....it is a gullarm frame!!!!..even down to gullarm swingarm..any idea's??????

put a picture up (and before you ask how, do a search in the FAQ) and we will easily identify it then.

Yes a good picture of the bike and if possible a picture of some of the frame numbers if you dont mind, then we can see if they at least look like Honda stamped vins. I have heard of this mythical beast but still not convinced till I see proof.

it has no body work on it or wheels......i have looked at the number stamping and its as should be......is there a grey area where there was some sort of factory cross over????..if i put pic up all your going to see is what looks like an nc29...one last thing where is the engine numbers on the engine??????

Engine numbers are near the right hand side clutch but go across the bike, over to the fuel pump, if that makes sense.

Exactly as you seem to have, some early 29s were frame marked 23, Im still sceptical though till I see it. Hence my interest in the vins.

your not going to beleave this...but i just seen on ebay a 1988 gullarm...and the boy is calling it a tri-arm....newly listed tonite......what the chances...??!!

could someone tell me what forks/front end fit right on and what rear wheel slides right in i i can't find cbr400...is there other models that fit??

This one? I'm guessing that it was incorrectly registered with the wrong date when it was first imported from Japan?
