18 inch wheel on my rvf ? !
Right i have just been reading through my Haynes manual and I have seen that the rvf's run on 17's front and rear but the vfr's have an 18 inch rear. Any benefits of a 18 rear?

The advantage is having a 17 incher and having a better choice of tires. Wheels aren't that expensive so get it replaced and it means you can use your new rubber too.

use it till you need a new tyre ( a good few miles yet!) and just keep your eyes peeled for a 17"er! they pop up now and again

- the larger wheel looks better (in my opinion)domski1 wrote:So really I want to know is there any pro's or con's in having a vfr rear wheel fitted?
- it raises the rear ride height slightly and will improve handling
- limited tyre choice (still plenty of good road rubber available), will only get worse in coming years
If I owned an rvf putting an 18" wheel on it is one fo the first things I'd do (and I'd keep the 17" to put back on when tyres stop being made in 18!).
