Personally I don't like the idea of them.
1 more screw that could come loose (not a very secure looking either) and I don't think they would feel as good on your fingers. Probably better off buying non-adjustable levers in either long or short style.

what about something this those? fitting something like those, they just bolt straight and are for road use yes? also, are short lever MOT passable or not?

They would be fine. I know a few people using them on various different bikes. My uncle uses them on his SP2 track bike and to be honest they're not far off the quality of my Titax levers which are 4x the price.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VFR-400-RVF-CBR-H ... 3cb7604b61

the 2nd link you posted are the SPAZZO levers, lots of peeps buy those , as said, nearly same qulity as the titax etc for 1/4 the price. good buy!
