Bottom rad fan

Is there a difference between the NC30 and NC35 bottom rad fan? if so what is different?

everything essentially is the same but the wiring is different.
if i recall the RVF has 3 wires, the NC has 2. i cant remember if the RVF uses an extra earth or something.

I have and couldnt make it work (nc35 fan on an nc30) hooked all the wires up & doubled up on an earth but it wouldnt have it.
The plug is different as well, the nc35 has just 2 wires in the 3 wire housing & the nc30 has 3 wires.
I couldnt be arsed to play around with it after that, as i had a spare nc30 fan but im no electrician.
